England, batting first in the first match of the T20I series vs Australia on Friday, put up 162/7 in their 20 overs. They got off to a good start courtesy Jos Buttler (44), but were dismissed by the visiting team’s spinners. Dawid Malan (66) was the lone fighter for England in the middle order, as wickets kept falling around him. Glenn Maxwell (2/14) and Ashton Agar (2/32) got some early breakthroughs for the Aussies, before Kane Richardson (2/13) bowled a superb spell at the death to restrict the home team.
Australia, in Reply had a cracking Start courtesy of David Warner and Aron Finch who scored 58 of 47 and 46 of 32 Balls respectively, Australia was 124/1 at one stage of the game and after that their middle order got Tumbled and resulting the team to go 133/5 in death Overs. Australia needed 15 of Last Over with Marcus Stoinis on Strike and Tom Curran was the Bowler, Stoinis was unable to take his team par the line and managed to score only 13 of the last over and England winning the match by 2 Runs.
Dawid Malan was given the Man of The Match for his heroics of 66 of 43 Balls.
