The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is less than two weeks away, and all eight teams have kick-started their preparations ahead of the tournament, This year's IPL will see a total of 56 games played across three venues - Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. And BCCI is taking all the measures to follow like of Bio-Secure Environment, many players are getting nervous to play in this environment while some are missing due to injury.
Here's the List of Players Missing IPL 2020:
1. Lasith Malinga
Mumbai Indians Star Bowler Laisth Malinga, who helped Mumbai Indians to win in last edition because of his last over heroics dismissing Shardul Thakur on the last ball of the match. Lasith Malinga has chosen to not play the tournament this year citing personal reasons, reported the franchise last Wednesday.Australian pacer James Pattinson has been named as the replacement for the Sri Lankan.
2) Jason Roy
Jason Roy is one of the most dangerous Opener and a prolific batsmen, he was a part of Delhi capitals since 2018 and has been performing well.The England opener pulled out of the T20 series against Pakistan due to a side strain, which also ruled him out of IPL 2020.he is Replaced by Australian Seamer Daniel Sams.
3) Suresh Raina
Suresh Raina, who is also Known as Mr.IPL and is the leading Run Scorer of IPl. Suresh Raina had initially cited ‘personal reasons’ for his last-minute withdrawal. Raina was already in UAE quarantining along with the CSK squad when he decided to pull out. After returning to India he took to Twitter and cited his reasons that his relatives were brutally killed by Armed Robbers in Punjab, but looking at his recent post he is training and might be Seen back in CSK camp. 4) Harbhajan Singh
Harbhajan Singh Who is also Known as Turbanator has also backed out from IPL 2020 due to ‘personal reasons’. The 40-year-old took to Twitter to confirm the same, and added that he wanted privacy as he looked forward to spending time with family.
He also said that CSK Management s very Supportive, his replacement is not named yet.
5) Chris Woakes
England all-rounder Chris Woakes pulled out of the IPL, and his franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) replaced him with South African pacer Anrich Nortje.he did not mention any specific reasons on why is he pulling out of IPL 2020,The England all-rounder was bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs. 1.5 Crore in the auctions that took place in December 2019.
6). Kane Richardson
Australian Fast Bowler Kane Richardson who was brought by Royal Challengers Banglore in Auction has opted to pull out of IPl 2020 due to birth of his child and is replaced by his australian Team mate Adam Zampa
7) Harry Gurney
The England seamer and fine bowler Harry Gurney was ruled out IPL 2020 with a shoulder injury. Gurney, who was roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2019 looking at his form last year the franchise had retained him but is now unable to play for IPL 2020, his replacement is not yet named.
